About Pierce

The Story

A Florida-born country artist shaped by mountain towns, open water, and a life spent chasing the next good story.

“Country music found me on the water. Somewhere along the way, singing became more than something I did — it became what I wanted to chase.”

Musical Background

Built On Country Fundamentals

Pierce August didn't take the traditional road into country music — and that's part of what makes his story his own.

Born in Southwest Florida, Pierce spent much of his twenties out West, building a life around the outdoors. Golf, snowboarding, fly fishing and long days outside were part of everyday life, but country music was always playing somewhere in the background.

While working as a fishing guide, music became more than something Pierce listened to. He began singing to clients, playing guitar more seriously and eventually started a country band while living in Aspen, Colorado.

What started naturally became something he could no longer ignore.

Today, Pierce brings those experiences into his music — combining Florida roots, mountain years, fishing stories and real life into a country sound that feels distinctly his own.

Photo Needed: strong horizontal portrait of Pierce, preferably outdoors — guitar, Florida Keys, upscale saltwater cowboy. Not a studio headshot.

The Saltwater Life

Fishing, Boating & The Florida Keys

For Pierce, fishing isn't part of an image created for the stage. It came first.

Before music became his full-time pursuit, Pierce spent years working as a fishing guide. Boats, early mornings, long days on the water and conversations with people from every walk of life became part of the foundation of who he is.

Now based in the Florida Keys, that saltwater lifestyle remains at the center of his world.

The water is where Pierce resets, where stories happen and where country music first started becoming something more.

That connection gives his music a perspective that feels different from traditional Nashville country.

There's country in it. There's Florida in it. And there's always a little saltwater on it.

Photo Needed: Pierce actually fishing, running the boat, poling the skiff, holding a fly rod, or standing on the water — proof this is real life, not a country-music costume.

Performer & Songwriter

Development As An Artist

Pierce learned to perform the old-fashioned way: by performing.

After starting a country band while living in Aspen, he continued developing his voice, guitar playing, songwriting and presence on stage before eventually bringing that experience back to Florida.

Today, Pierce performs throughout the Florida Keys, moving between acoustic shows, private events and full-band performances while continuing to develop his own original sound.

Every show is part of building the next chapter.

Rather than trying to manufacture an overnight success story, Pierce is focused on becoming a stronger songwriter, a better performer and an artist with a sound and identity people immediately recognize.

His original music is the beginning of that next phase — taking the stories, places and experiences that shaped him and turning them into songs of his own.

Photo Needed: strongest available shot of Pierce performing with the full band — stage lighting, crowd energy, or a recognizable Keys venue.

Looking Ahead

Career Goals & The Road Ahead

This is still the beginning.

Pierce is continuing to write and develop original music while building his audience through live performances, new releases and an expanding presence throughout the Florida Keys and beyond.

The goal isn't simply to play more shows.

It's to build Pierce August into something bigger — an artist, a sound and a lifestyle people recognize before they ever see the name.

More original music. More full-band shows. More cities. More miles. And eventually, a whole lot more road between Florida and wherever the music takes him next.

Pierce isn't trying to leave the saltwater life behind to become a country artist. He's bringing it with him.

Photo Needed: writing with guitar, soundcheck, rehearsal with the band, backstage before a show, recording vocals/guitar, or a candid shot with other musicians — documentary style, less posed, "you caught him working."
